Sustainability

From the start, we've been committed to doing the right thing. Our sustainability efforts ensure that our business practices and policies continue our rich heritage of making a positive impact on society.

Guided by McDonald’s company values, we seek to make progress in five focus areas: nutrition and well-being, sustainable supply chain, environmental responsibility, employee experience, and community.

As communication channels have changed, McDonald's has evolved the length and format of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) / sustainability reports. This year, we have moved to a shorter, more focused “scorecard” format that focuses on progress achieved in 2010-11. All of the traditional report content can now be found throughout the Sustainability section of this website along with recent activity and latest developments.

Our new Sustainability Library serves as a repository for past reports, interesting sustainability stories, and ongoing reference material. Come take a look and peruse the shelves.
