  1. How do you choose the television programs that you sponsor in the U.S.?

The environment in which McDonald’s commercials appear is a highly important factor in our selection of media. We closely evaluate the content of the programs in which our television commercials appear and we strive to associate our advertising with entertaining, responsible programs. As an advertiser, however, our role is not to determine what a broadcaster should or should not air. The decision belongs to the broadcaster and, ultimately, to the individual viewer.

Before placing a commercial nationally, prime-time programs are previewed by a screening service. Following that process, the advertising agency reviews the screening reports and makes decisions regarding the placement of our commercials within a show.
