Doug Goare is President of McDonald’s Europe, responsible for the company’s more than 7,000 restaurants in 40 countries.
Doug brings 33 years of McDonald’s experience to his new role. Prior to his appointment, Doug served as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Supply Chain and Development, overseeing McDonald’s $23 billion in annual spend, as well as the company’s global food safety, quality systems and market development strategies.
Doug began his career at McDonald’s in 1978 with the Accounting Department in Columbus, Ohio where he led the establishment of McDonald’s Columbus Accounting Centre and served in a number of positions in the accounting/financial area in both the field and home office. He has held a variety of leadership positions throughout the U.S. business, including Regional Vice President of the Greenville Region, Vice President and General Manager of the Ohio Region, and Vice President and General Manager of the Greater Chicago Region. During his rise through the organization, Doug has gained a breadth of financial knowledge, an in-depth understanding of our restaurants, and a proven ability to collaborate with owner/operators, suppliers, and company teams.
He is a graduate of the Ohio State University, a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Chicago United.
